From England to Scotland with Triride: Lorenzo Lodola’s Adventure

A journey through nature, adventure and freedom

A journey that began as a simple desire for discovery and soon turned into something much greater. Lorenzo Lodola, a young traveller, covered over 6,500 km across England and Scotland with his Triride Compact HT by his side, equipped with the Trekking Power kit. Together with his friend Dra, with whom he travelled by van, Lorenzo faced challenging roads, strong winds and breathtaking landscapes, turning every stage into an unforgettable adventure.

From the spectacular cliffs of Bempton Cliffs to the silent valleys of Glen Affric, passing through the wild coastlines of John O’Groats and Duncansby Head, every kilometre travelled became a new chapter in a journey lived without limits, driven by the belief that disability should never extinguish the desire to explore and dream.

Lorenzo Lodola: When Adventure Becomes a Way of Life

Born in 2003, Lorenzo Lodola has always been passionate about sport, travel and adventure. His life took an unexpected turn in 2020, when an accident caused him to fracture two vertebrae. It was a dramatic event that forced him to reinvent himself, finding in sport, nature, and van and camper travel a new way to live and reconnect with the world.

The journey through Scotland, shared with Dra, was the realisation of this desire for freedom and discovery: every stage completed, every landscape explored and every encounter experienced turned the adventure into a journey of personal growth. From this experience and his sensitivity, Adventurabile was born: an Association for Social Promotion (APS) whose aim is to bring people with disabilities closer to the world of adventure and sport, offering inclusive experiences and support through dedicated equipment.

“Without my Triride Compact HT and the Trekking Power wheels, none of the stages we experienced would have been possible. They allowed me to explore incredible places and fully live this adventure.”

Wild Scotland: An Adventure Through Landscapes and Freedom.

Lorenzo’s route took him through places of extraordinary beauty: from the seabird colonies of Bempton Cliffs, which in summer become a paradise teeming with life, to the wild landscapes of John O’Groats and Duncansby Head, where the ocean meets the land with primordial force. There were also plenty of challenges, such as the fierce winds in northern Scotland, with gusts of up to 100 km/h.

Triride’s support was fundamental throughout this adventure: thanks to the full maintenance carried out before departure, the additional batteries used to tackle very long routes, and the durability of the Trekking Power Kit on dirt tracks, sand and rocky ground, every exploration became possible.

A journey that transformed every challenge into discovery, every landscape into an experience and every encounter into connection, proving that the most intense adventures are born from opening ourselves to the world and from the desire to live every moment to the fullest.
