The Highway Code regulates the behavior of pedestrians in article 190; of particular interest in this matter, point 7:<br \/>\n1. Pedestrians must circulate on the sidewalks, on the quays, on the avenues and on the other spaces prepared for them; if these are missing, cluttered, interrupted or insufficient, they must circulate on the edge of the carriageway opposite the direction of travel of the vehicles in order to cause the least possible obstruction to traffic. Outside built-up areas, pedestrians are obliged to move in the opposite direction to that of the vehicles on two-way carriageways and on the right-hand side with respect to the direction of travel of the vehicles when it is a one-way traffic carriageway. From half an hour after sunset to half an hour before it rises, pedestrians who circulate on the carriageway of roads outside the inhabited centers, without public lighting, are obliged to march in one row.<br \/>\n2. Pedestrians, to cross the carriageway, must use the pedestrian crossings, underpasses and overpasses. When these do not exist, or are more than a hundred meters away from the crossing point, pedestrians can cross the carriageway only perpendicularly, with the necessary attention to avoid dangerous situations for themselves or for others.<br \/>\n3. It is forbidden for pedestrians to cross the intersections diagonally; it is also forbidden to cross the squares and wide areas outside the pedestrian crossings, if they exist, even if they are at a distance greater than that indicated in paragraph 2.<br \/>\n4. It is forbidden for pedestrians to stop or linger on the carriageway, except in cases of necessity; it is also forbidden, by stopping in a group on pavements, quays or at pedestrian crossings, to obstruct the normal transit of other pedestrians.<br \/>\n5. Pedestrians who are about to cross the carriageway in an area without pedestrian crossings must give way to drivers.<br \/>\n6. It is forbidden for pedestrians to cross the road by passing in front of the buses, trolley cars and trams parked at the stops.<br \/>\n7. Machines for use by children or disabled people, even if powered by motors, with the limitations referred to in Article 46, may circulate on the parts of the road reserved for pedestrians, according to the procedures established by the bodies that own the roads pursuant to of Articles 6 and 7. (1)<br \/>\n8. Circulation using boards, skates or other speed accelerators is prohibited on the roadway.<br \/>\n9. It is forbidden to carry out unauthorized games, training and sporting events on the roadways. In the spaces reserved for pedestrians it is forbidden to use boards, skates or other speed accelerators that could create dangerous situations for other users.<br \/>\n10.
